Sony Ericsson Naite (J105i)

w00t last post for the month.

It has been a real busy month and next month would be even busier. Oh damn I’m lovin’ it =).A couple of months ago I purchased some 500MB a month broadband from Maxis (here) and well, I did not have any phone to use it with! 2 months passed and finally I managed to collect enough money to proceed with the purchase of a used,  second phone to use the data plan with.

Here it is!  The Sony Ericsson Naite. I didn’t wanted to get Sony Ericsson again, argh.. but then the price was simply too wallet friendly.

This phone doesn’t come with much stuff though, only HSDPA, 2Mpix camera, 2.2″ 320×240 256k TFT screen, microSD card slot and those basic/standard stuff that you’ll get from most Sony Ericsson phones. The thing with this phone is that it was developed under the GreenHeart concept whereby the phone was designed to reduce the overall impact on the environment. Benefit is, the charger automatically reduces its power consumption when the phone is not plugged in thus saving some electricity.

Bad thing is, the back-plate of the phone looked pretty good but if you were to pry open the phone , the plastic feels cheap and easily breakable.

Software aspect, the phone feels slightly sluggish like most 320×240 Sony Ericsson phones. Uses the same firmware as the C510. Surprisingly, it supports the Microsoft Exchange protocol so syncing emails, contacts and tasks was absolute fun.

Size – Thickness.

Verdict:

Phone feels really good when it costs RM100 including postage.

It comes with Thorus warranty (4mths remaining).

Battery life – So far it has been running for 4days and still at 20%

Bad: Its a 2nd hand unit.

Robot Sushi @ Sunway Pyramid

Went over to Robot Sushi at Sunway Pyramid that day and had a buffet dinner there.

What was the deal? RM49.90++ per person for any food on the menu. Drinks are not included.

The buffet starts at 6p.m. and ends at 9p.m. Walked over with 2 of my friends and we began ordering at 6p.m ++ .

What did we order? Almost everything on the menu which costs more than RM10 each. We did not order the set meal stuff of course. Initially, it took quite a while for the food to be served from the time of order. We had to wait for more than 10mins before our sashimi was served. So a quick tip here, keep planning your next dishes and once the food is served, send in your next order. Then the timing would be just right once you’ve finished the previous dishes, the new one comes in and you send in the next order.

Quality of the food was quite good, oh anyway its a buffet and I’m not an expert in Japanese food but the servings were pretty moderate. The sashimi’s came in huge chunks but then, THEY WERE FROZEN. LOL! Guess we ordered too many servings till they had to get their supplies out from the freezer and didn’t have enough time to defrost them.
Here are photos of the food that we ordered. Most of them were ordered a couple of times =)

Everything went well, the food kept on flowing in and empty dishes went out.. until 8.20P.M. We proceeded to make our last orders and heck! The so called Wagyu burger came out to be hard, the sate style beef used to have 3 slices of meat in it , now only 2 slices. What’s going on huh? This was the 2nd time we ordered the wagyu burger and the sate stuff so that’s why the drop in quality was OBVIOUS (you can see this in the photo gallery).  Anyway, we did not make any noise as we were already at our limits and just ate those fewer slices of meat and a part of the burger. Serving us a new portion wouldn’t make us happy either.

Finally, we counted the real amount of food that we ate based on the menu price and it totaled up to a whopping RM530++ before taxes. Our initial “target” to reach the RM1000 mark was far from this figure but hey! we managed to reach half of it. Left the place at 9.45p.m. Haha. Honestly, I wouldn’t be going to this place to eat just the À la carte style there.
An example of the pricing: A bowl of noodles would cost you at least RM20+ and 2 sushi’s would take RM6 off from your wallet.
