There was a Cut-A-Thon event organized at the Berjaya Times Square in KL today.
This was an attempt to break the Malaysia Book of Records for the Most Haircuts in a Day. Oh well, Sie Khai and I went over there supposedly to get our hair snipped for free by the Micheal & Guys Hair Saloon team but things did not turn out the way it was supposed to.

Sie Khai also wanted to get to LowYat Plaza to buy a replacement power adaptor for his HP Compaq notebook and a new Huawei HSDPA Modem for his newly subscribed Celcom Broadband D98 which costs a friggin’ RM98 per month.

Thank goodness that we did not manage to get our hair done there~!
I saw in a few other blogs that the hair stylists messed with the participants hair and it turned out to look like dog bite marks.

Actually the real reason was because the event was held right outside Berjaya Times Square itself and it was super hot at that time. The queue to get the free hair cut was even worse. Better spend a bit of money and get it cut some where else. For RM3- you could get a trainee to get it done better than this.

Anyway we decided to go for a better deal. There was a stall set up at the event that collects donation for the National Cancer Society of Malaysia. Donate RM10 and get a free goodies bag worth RM150. Sounds great eh? Definitely. We grabbed one bag each. However, when I was taking my cash out to donate *I feel so good being able to donate* ^^ , my Touch n’ Go card accidentally dropped out from my pocket and I DID NOT NOTICE that. There goes my card with the RM7 credit balance in it. My goodies bag had a higher price tag instead now. RM10 + RM 10 (for a new card) + RM7 (credit balance) =RM27. Argh.

Here are all the stuff that was placed into the goodies bag a.k.a. paper bag. Hahaha.  There’s a metal water bottle, some VCDs, discount vouchers, face wash samples, moisturizers, deodorant, balloons, lip balm, Micro SD card reader, a ball point pen, a pair of slippers and a paper bag. Most of the stuff inside were vouchers though.

Sie Khai managed to get the two items he was supposed to get and I didn’t buy anything there. =) . It was fun though except for the moment when I dropped my Touch n’ Go card. *sob*
