The Best Pad Thai in Bangkok: Thipsamai
Big flames, huge pots and kualis dishing out awesome pad thais.
Here it is, the famous Thipsamai Pad Thai, supposed to be totally egg wrapped but I guess mine had a flaw =’( The noodles inside were thai style, well so far I’ve haven seen such rice noodle in Malaysia something similar to those glass noodles but a tad thicker than it. Ah! Just look at the photo! The taste was extremely luscious with presence of tomato flavor on each bite. There are 2 -3 fresh juicy prawns inside (around 3-4cm in diameter). It wasn’t too oily, was served together with a plate of raw bean sprouts and a few slices of the banana heart.
Next order was the generic Pad Thai. However, this plate of generic Pad Thai did not taste as well as I expected it to be. The noodles did not have any tomato flavor and tasted more like normal fried noodles. Not recommended.
Price? 60 baht for the egg wrapped Pad Thai and around 35 baht for the generic Pad Thai. Well, I guess you get what you’ve paid for? Haha.
I’d gladly accept an offer to have a Pad Thai anytime if it is available here.
