Yao Yao Ping & Fried Chicken @ Klang
Having an iced drink or ice-kacang on a sun scorching day would be the best thing on earth if you are in Malaysia. That’s what I experienced and thanks to valnot’s owner, I had this thing called the Yao Yao Ping and a few pieces of fried chicken at Klang. The restaurant name is simple, Yao Yao Ping Restaurant as it is the same name as the food/drinks they serve.
We headed there and I was pretty surprised that the shop wasn’t really occupied. Maybe because we went there at an odd time because I’ve seen photos of this place before and oh boy it was crowded! Mind you, this shop was once endorsed by the 8TV Ho Ciak show as well.
So what is yao yao ping? It’s pretty much similar to what we call ice-blended here but with local ingredients. They had this longan flavor, bubur cha cha, red bean, sour plum and a couple more.. I can’t really rememeber but there are a variety of flavors which you can pick from. You could even have 2 flavors in a cup.
I had this flavor. Honestly I don’t know what flavor is this already. I think its bubur cha cha and sour plum. Haha! It was nice with the smooth blended ice. Simply refreshing.
Here’s the fried chicken. Ignore the walnut please haha.
Overall this place is worth visiting if you have not tried or hear of yao yao ping before. It is something different from what we usually have and the fried chicken simply compliments it with its skin fried to perfection while retaining the juicy meat inside.
